Join me on a visit to Denbies Wine Estate, the largest vineyard in England, set amongst the Surrey Hills near Dorking.
With 265 acres (1.07 km2) under vines, it represents more than 10 per cent of the plantings in the whole of the United Kingdom! And in 2010 Denbies' Chalk Ridge Rosé won the IWC international Gold Award (the world's biggest and most influential wine competition) beating more than 360 competitors from 21 countries.
I've been visiting Denbies for years and can highly recommend a day out here including the outdoor vineyard train tour (£8.95pp) as it gives some breathtaking views of Surrey.
Things have changed since Covid so any tours will need to be booked in advance. Or you can just bring your own picnics and purchase wine by the glass at the hatch. There are also snacks available to buy too.
If you are interested in any tours then pop a message on the chat and we can hopefully get pairs or groups booked before it gets too busy. Take a look at their website for information regarding bookings and restrictions: https://www.denbies.co.uk
The best way to get there is by train from Waterloo straight to Dorking station. It is a 10-15 walk from there.
Any questions then please message me or place in the chat.
